Cosmic War

As discussed in our class, the term “Cosmic War” is used to refer to an issue that is considered of great, almost celestial importance. Pro-life organizations and followers have adopted an attitude that insinuates their belief that the issue of abortion is one of such immense importance. The conflict of abortion then becomes a struggle of good vs. evil, God vs. the Devil, pro-lifers vs. pro-choicers. The Army of God has referred to those who perform or believe in abortions as evildoers and murderers. They believe that God is on their side and thus it is their duty to end the practice of abortion. However, organizations ways of going about this “war” differ: the Army of God believes in winning the “war” by implementing whatever tactics are necessary while Operation Rescue prefers to use legal, peaceful tactics.
